Licensing
Use the music.
M-Sector tracks are streamed on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major platforms via DistroKid (latest release). For listening, just use any of those — that's what they're there for.
For commercial use, the short version: we're open to it, just ask first.
Personal listening
Free, no permission required. Stream on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc. Put it on at work, in your headphones, in your room. That's exactly what we made it for.
YouTube streams & co-watching
You may embed M-Sector videos in your own videos (reaction, co-streaming, study with me) as long as the original video is the source and credit is given. Don't re-upload our audio as your own track.
Background music for video content
If you're a YouTuber, streamer, or podcaster and you want to use M-Sector tracks as background music:
- Reach out via contact first
- Tell us your channel and how you'd use the track
- For small channels and personal projects, this is usually free
- For brands and commercial productions, we discuss licensing fees
Game soundtracks & apps
We're open to licensing tracks for indie games, apps, and installations — especially anything in the cyberpunk, JRPG, or sci-fi space. Get in touch with a brief description of the project.
Custom commissions
We take on a limited number of custom Lo-Fi commissions per quarter — original tracks made to your brief, retaining the M-Sector sound but exclusive to your project.
These are paid commissions. Reach out with project details and timeline.
What's not allowed
- Re-uploading our audio as your own track
- Selling or sublicensing without our permission
- Training generative AI models on our music or artwork
- Using our artwork for commercial products without a license
